Proxy Server

Set Up Your Own Proxy Server

Setting up a proxy server is quite straightforward. The following is a simple outline of the process. After you understand the basics, you can use the same tools that are used to establish the proxy server and do it at your own pace.

When you get a new proxy, you can get a temporary proxy. You can download it using the "Download" button found on the homepage of the proxy. The temporary proxy will let you test out how to configure your proxy.

Before you test the settings, log off and log in again. Use the browser you usually use. Enter the URL into the address bar. Be sure to enter the right URL for your website.

By default, the proxy server works with a client-side SSL certificate. You can change this by getting a new certificate from a trusted provider. The new certificate can be obtained either by following the instructions on the website or by downloading a free self-extracting program.

Once you are done configuring your proxy, you can continue with the test. Go to a website that has SSL support. Copy the host and port from the user input box and enter it into the Hostname field and Port field respectively.check also 5bestthings.com

Click on the Play button located next to the test site, and then select the "Options" menu. Choose "Secure Sockets Layer" and paste the values obtained in the previous step. Go back to the test site and verify that the test page is properly loading.

If the test page is properly loading, go back to the main interface and start testing other sites. After you have tested all the sites, go back to the Test button and click "Go". The settings you put in during the setup process should now be available. Select the same IP address and different browser and click "Test". A window will pop up to tell you that the test was successful. If the proxy is set up correctly, you should be able to navigate from one page to another with no problems.

Now it's time to test your proxy servers. Start all over again and try out all the pages you have selected as Test pages. If the test pages were successfully configured, your proxy server should be ready to serve the websites it has been configured to.

If not, you might want to consider buying a free proxy server from a proxy directory. There are also free proxy servers available. Free proxy servers are not usually configured properly because they lack the experience of the expert proxy.

However, some free proxy servers are configured to work fine, while others may have serious problems. In either case, if you are not satisfied with the results, you can revert to the more expensive paid proxy.

Running a proxy server is an easy process if you follow the basic guidelines. Once you get used to the process, you can even use a proxy server for commercial reasons. At times, you may be required to run a proxy server for security reasons.
